Arturo Arango, a young coffee farmer, has been producing coffee since 2015. He bought El Paraiso, a 25-hectare farm at 1300 m.a.s.l. in Barcelona, Quindío. Most coffee trees on the farm were over 25 years old, so Arturo began renewing them and planted Costa Rica and Java varieties. In addition to coffee, he grows yucca and lemon.

Arturo studied Business Administration and completed a master’s degree in agroindustries in Argentina, where he became captivated by the Specialty Coffee scene. Upon returning to Colombia, he saw an opportunity to join this movement and focused on applying proper agricultural practices to produce high-quality coffee. He meticulously removes weeds and prevents disease around his coffee trees.

The first few years were spent renewing the trees and improving practices. After three years, the new trees began bearing excellent fruit, encouraging Arturo to continue revitalizing the farm.
